We're pleased to offer the following services at Coldwater Animal Clinic:
We are currently accepting new patients for routine preventive care visits as well as visits for sick or injured pets. Our receptionists and team will attempt to accommodate requests to the best of our ability. Emergencies are accepted anytime our clinic is open, please call to let us know if you have an emergency. If possible it is best to call before coming in so that a staff member can advise you on your particular emergency and ensure we have a veterinarian available to see you and your pet.
We have a veterinarian on duty seven days a week, 365 days a year who are trained and equipped to handle most urgent care your pet may require. Emergencies can be things such as accidental ingestion of rat poison, hit by car, and chocolate ingestion. If you ever feel that your pet needs emergency treatment do not hesitate to call.
Because a large number of veterinarians practice at Coldwater Animal Clinic, we can care for many types of pets:

We offer a complete range of veterinary services for your pet including annual wellness examinations, vaccinations, medical and surgical services, dental care, and more. We offer hospitalization for patients that require more intensive treatment. Our office also provides boarding and grooming services. We look forward to serving you and your furry family’s needs!
Wellness Care and Vaccination Programs
We provide a complete wellness program for your pet to keep them happy and healthy. All visits start with a full examination by the doctor and a consultation with you about your pet’s specific needs and risks based on existing conditions, exposures, environment, and your concerns.
We will then recommend appropriate diagnostic tests, immunizations, diets, and treatment plans to keep your pet in optimal health. Since your pet is instinctively programmed to hide pain or medical conditions and cannot tell us when something is wrong, we need to be proactive in running appropriate diagnostic tests to detect disease early when it can be more effectively treated. By gathering information early, we acquire a baseline for what is normal for your pet and can watch for changes or trends that might indicate disease. Based on our findings, we can make specific recommendations for diet, exercise, treatment, behavior medication, or further testing. We offer these services to help you ensure your pet receives the best care available.
Our doctors are equipped to diagnose most medical conditions that routinely affect pets. We being with a comprehensive examination. Examination findings are used to determine a diagnostic plan that is designed specifically for you and your pet. Our clinic possesses up-to-date diagnostic equipment including radiology (x-rays), ultrasound, blood chemistry analyzer, and video otoscopy (for ear canal evaluation). We work closely with a veterinary diagnostic laboratory for more specialized testing with results available within 1-2 days for most tests. After an accurate diagnosis is made, our complete pharmacy allows us to begin treatment immediately, whether treatment consists of outpatient care or intensive care in the hospital.
Our surgery suite is equipped to provide a safe surgical experience for your pet. We provide routine surgical services for common procedures including spays, neuters, and mass removals. Additionally, more extensive surgical care for orthopedic, abdominal, reconstructive, and minor trauma surgery can be performed at our clinic.
Boarding and Grooming
As an extra service to our clients, we will board your pet when you are away. Our boarding facility provides indoor runs and cages, a separate feline room, bedding, Science Diet food, and hand walking for dogs at least twice per day.
Our grooming services consist of nail trims, shearing, trims, and bathing. Whether your pet is here for grooming or boarding, our trained staff will monitor their health and well-being, and the doctor will appropriately treat any problems that might arise. How could your pet be safer when you’re away than to stay in a clean, dry, monitored boarding facility with medical staff that are trained to detect and treat any health issues that might crop up? We can also medicate your pet while boarding, if needed.
Microchipping has become a very popular and safe way to permanently identify your pet in the unfortunate case that your pet is lost. Microchipping involves placement of a small electronic chip the size and shape of a piece of rice under the skin in the neck area. A needle is used to inject the chip, similar to a regular vaccine injection. If your pet becomes lost, the humane society will be able to scan your pet for the chip and contact you. We advise you to use this system of identification as well as a collar identification system on your pet.
